Bread is Older Than You Think

We know that grain agriculture led to human settlements, which led to communities and civilization. We also know that beer is almost as old as the early human settlements. But where does bread fit into all this history? It's looking more and more like bread came before any of those other things. Some folks in the Levant were making bread from wild grains, before anyone thought of raising crops deliberately. And beer, as ancient as it is, may have started out as an offspring of bread making, as it has the same ingredients. It would have been easy to use bread dough, or starter, as the catalyst that turned water into
