You’ve heard it from the experts, folks!
Different people have various ways of storing condiments. One particular ingredient has sparked a public debate on its proper storage– ketchup, our favorite dipping sauce for fries and other fried food. Some prefer to store it at room temperature, while others prefer (and insist) that it should be kept cold inside a refrigerator. Personally, I do tend to place my ketchup bottles outside of the refrigerator, and they last long enough. But, we do question ourselves, which method is better to prolong its shelf-life?
Well, one company has finally put its foot down. Heinz, the fanmous maker of tomato ketchup that is used all over the world, has released a very short statement on its UK Twitter account. "FYI: Ketchup. goes. in. the. fridge!!!" the brand tweeted.
"There was only ever one correct answer, and we're happy to share with Heinz Tomato Ketchup lovers across the UK that our ketchup has to be in the fridge," Olivia Lennon of Heinz Tomato Ketchup told Daily Mail. Lennon continued that refrigeration is the recommended storage method after a bottle has been opened.
Well, it's time to put our ketchup bottles in the fridge then!
