David Henkes, a global food and beverage industry consultant, tweets that the French division of McDonald's is now offering pumpkin-flavored ketchup. That's not pumpkin spice ketchup, mind you. It's either ketchup made with pumpkins or artificially flavored to taste like pumpkin.
This seems very weird, but other commenters say that purely tomato-based ketchup is an American thing and that the use of other vegetables for ketchup is common abroad.
