The reporters at Sora News 24 received this unusual glass in the mail. It was a gift from YO-HO Brewing in Japan—the maker of the Yona Yona Ale that appears in the above photo.
The hourglass-like structure permits only a small amount of beer to enter or exit the lower chamber. This is perhaps frustrating to fill, as the beer enters at a slow trickle. The design does, though, fulfill its purpose by making it difficult to drink an entire glass. It forces the user to take his time to fully digest the ale instead of simply chugging the entire amount.
